Disney has created a new tradition for me around Christmas. It really is the perfect time for them to release their annual Star Wars movie what with families getting together and all that. Launching it weeks before Christmas also guarantees people are going to see it multiple times. At least once on the opening week and at least once with family during, or around actual Christmas. That’s what I’ve been doing literally every year since Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens launched in 2015....

Most of the time, Hitman 3 rewards completed challenges with a simple sense of accomplishment. And, in fairness to developer Io Interactive, that’s usually more than enough for the fans. However, with The Asmodeus Waltz escalation, they elected to pile on the rewards: a golden briefcase, a silenced SMG, and a bizarre-looking outfit. The catch? You have to win an escalation that puts the escalations from Hitman 1 and 2 to shame....

Assassinations have never been so personal. Another new trailer for the upcoming Hitman 3 has been shared, this time showcasing Agent 47’s exploits in mind-blowing VR. The release of Hitman 3 in a couple of weeks’ time will conclude the Word of Assassination trilogy, and it looks set to take the player on a fully immersive final experience. While the rest of the world may have come to a grinding halt, Agent 47 is still globetrotting like it’s 2019....

Hive Jump is a fun and exciting retro shooter romp, with plenty of variety and a great co-op multiplayer experience marred by a lonely single player mode. Whether it’s the classic retro platforming of Shovel Knight or the stunning, old-school computer RPG stylings of Pillars of Eternity, Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms have allowed for some forgotten genres to make a triumphant return. Another title to make use of crowdfunding, Hive Jump, is not the only game to make a revival of the run-and-gun 2D shooter, but it certainly tries to do so with aplomb....

Hob hops to freedom on the Epic Games Store as a free game. You like free, right? When you think of Runic Games, most of us think of Torchlight and Torchlight 2. But there was another game that came right before Runic closed up shop in 2017 called Hob, an action-adventure puzzle-platformer where you play as a mysterious hooded figure in a bizarre gearpunk world. May’s State of Play has just been announced by Sony, and Guerilla Games is taking the spotlight. Twitch streamer and self-proclaimed “virtual girl next door at your fingertips” InvaderVie began today’s stream with an apology for the “tone-deaf, insensitive, and stupid” comments she recently made about the financial situation of viewers that can’t or don’t give her subs. Vie came under fire this weekend when she shamed her non-subs by telling them they’re “so irresponsible with [their] money that they can’t support the entertainment [they] enjoy.” None of this behavior is out of character for InvaderVie and, despite her attempt to “take ownership” of her comments in today’s apology, this type of financial shaming is not at all out of place on Vie’s stream....
