The international version was based on the expanded Maniax version that Japan received, which included Dante from the Devil May Cry series in a cameo role. While Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is being hyped as the prequel to Breath of the Wild, some are forgetting that it’s also a sort of sequel to the original Hyrule Warriors. That’s the only explanation for its post-credits scene, which added nothing but questions to an already unsatisfying story. After the credits rolled on the fourth and final episode, lingering viewers saw Grieff (Stanley Tucci) and his companion/human recording device Dillon being led into the interview room of their US prison. There, they met Janice Fife, the British woman whose murder Grieff had averted a week earlier from across the Atlantic using a combination of his criminologist nous and his best guess (“Guessing is how reason proceeds in the absence of fact” is one of his Sherlock-ian slogans)....

I Saw Black Clouds, a new interactive horror film from Wales Interactive and Ghost Dog Films, starring Nicole O’Neill (Penny Dreadful, Rachel Jackson (Outlander) and Larry Rew (Avatar), is scheduled to be released for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 30 . The Steam description of the interactive film reads, “I Saw Black Clouds is an interactive psychological thriller with supernatural elements and branching storylines. How you connect with the characters and the moral choices you make along the way will affect what you discover, the journey you take, and the resolution you find at the end....

Marvel’s Avengers, the new action-adventure game that pits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against an evil tech corporation that has replaced superheroes, is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of the fall. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, in collaboration with Eidos Montreal, the game lets you take control of a number of Marvel’s greatest heroes to take down MODOK and Advanced Idea Mechanics in both a single-player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode featuring four-player cooperative play....

Known for his role in creating immersive fantasy landscapes in popular film and television, director J.J. Abrams is paving a path into video games. His new studio division, Bad Robot Games, will focus on making or assisting with games on PC, console, and mobile. Abrams has been recognized for a variety of original TV shows, movies, and reboots of existing franchises. Perhaps most notably, he created the Alias and Lost series, and directed 2009’s Star Trek, 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness, and 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the latter his highest grossing film and the third highest grossing of all time....

An area in which the Grand Theft Auto series has always excelled is its characters. Each game has an interesting set of protagonists, antagonists, and even supporting players. That last point is especially true for Grand Theft Auto 5, as some of the game’s best characters aren’t even seen during the main story. Instead, they’re hidden within the title’s side content. These missions are called Strangers and Freaks, and the second half of the name is particularly appropriate as the characters in question are certainly bizarre....

One of the most highlighted features of GTA V was the entirely revamped and unique online multiplayer experience that came in the form of GTA Online. This means that the game does not end once you’re done with the single-player mode, in fact, with GTA Online, you now have a huge amount of content that never gets boring even though it was released almost 4 years ago. It is impossible to detail every little activity that can be done, but that’s a good thing since it can keep players involved until Rockstar decides to come up with the next Grand Theft Auto game....

For the last several years, rumors and speculation has pointed towards a possible (read: hopeful) unveiling of Half-Life 3 by Valve at E3 but each year they say they’re not coming and they’ve kept true to their word, instead focusing on games including Portal 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. Meanwhile, much of their other headline-generating announcements have focused on Team Fortress 2 and Steam updates. Nothing for Gordon Freeman....
