Last week indie developer Dan Da Rocha posted footage of a concept he has been working on in Unreal Engine for a first-person shooter rhythm game. The response to it was so overwhelmingly positive that now GUN JAM is officially listed on Steam under the development studio Jaw Drop Games. Made by the creator of the puzzle-platforming game Q.U.B.E., GUN JAM features “firefights choreographed to the soundtrack in a vibrant world” that encourages players to attack on the beat, according to its description on Steam....

Microsoft has finally announced when it plans to bring Halo 2: Anniversary, the next installment in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, to Windows 10 PCs. The game will join the collection on May 12th and will be available from the Microsoft Store and Steam, while also being part of Xbox Game Pass for PC. Halo 2: Anniversary is the remaster of Halo 2 that first released on Xbox One as a part of the original Master Chief Collection back in 2014....

After months of anticipation, Halo 3: ODST finally dropped on Xbox Game Pass for PC yesterday via Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Remarkably, this port comes 11 years to the day after the game originally hit the Xbox 360 on September 22, 2009. Halo 3: ODST is the fourth Halo title ported to PC this year, as the entire Master Chief Collection has steadily found its way on the platform ever since Halo: Reach’s arrival last December....

Much of the discussion of Halo 4 coming out of E3 2012 centered around 343 Industries’ new approach to overarching online systems and the episodic co-op campaign in store for fans of the franchise’s fiction. I’ve played a lot of open world exploration games. Skyrim, Fallout, No Man’s Sky - they were all great for exploration, for getting down in the dirt and teasing out every last bit of information I could from the land. But they all lacked a certain magic that’s hard to describe. It felt more like a compulsion, like that was simply what you did in those games so you did it unthinkingly....

While on a recent trip to Japan, famed talk show host Conan O’Brien took some time out to visit Hideo Kojima’s development studio – Kojima Productions. While a lot has already been posted online about O’Brien’s visit, a recent image uploaded by the talk show host has a lot of Kojima fans pondering. As half-saiyans, Gohan and Future Trunks theoretically have a ton of untapped potential that could lead to them becoming stronger than their fathers, but even with their differing circumstances, neither Saiyan has ever been able to make the most of this. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot follows in Dragon Ball Super’s footsteps, granting Goku and Vegeta God Ki and incredible new transformations such as Super Saiyan Blue, but in terms of both story and gameplay these new transformations leave Gohan and Future Trunks in the dust, making them obsolete characters all around....

The return of infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett in The Mandalorian was the first big surprise in a second season full of them. First as a hermit living in the deserts of Tatooine, and then as a Mandalorian warrior on a quest to get his father’s armor back, Boba’s story five years after Return of the Jedi was told in the background of Din Djarin and Grogu’s own adventure. And it all led to a massive cliffhanger in the season finale that showed Boba and his new partner, the assassin Fennec Shand, take over Jabba the Hutt’s palace....

The Old Hunters expansion for Bloodborne added some incredible new weapons to the game, one of which is the mighty Boom Hammer. The beasts that roam the streets of Yharnam are some of the most fearsome enemies in video game history, yet even they quake in fear at the fiery edge of the Boom Hammer. It’s easy to replicate the Boom Hammer in Dungeons & Dragons as a weapon for the players to use....

The long wait for Final Fantasy 7 Remake is quickly coming to an end. Following its short delay from its original March release window, Square Enix has been fairly active in releasing new information about the game including new areas of Midgard that weren’t in the original game, battle system, and more. Along with the recent demo on the PlayStation 4, players were able to get their hands on a few dynamic themes, though there’s only one way to get a special Sephiroth one....

Persona 5 Strikers has decided to switch things up from the normal turn-based combat model of the Persona series and instead offers an action-RPG battle experience. You and your fellow Phantom Thieves will be fighting at the same time, taking on multiple enemies with no holds barred.
