North American gamers who are subscribed to the Insomniac Games Community Newsletter are in for a treat, as the company is giving all those who subscribed a chance to participate in the Resistance 3 Beta. All fans have to do for a sneak peek at Resistance 3 is fill out a simple form - giving their name and e-mail address. The codes are only valid in North America and will be distributed randomly throughout the course of the beta, meaning those of you who didn’t pick up SOCOM 4 early still have a chance to participate....

While many of our Battlefield 3 reporting has been segregated to news regarding the title’s multiplayer and single player developments, the most recent piece of news that comes to us by way Executive Producer Patrick Bach is more of a public service announcement. According to Bach, the previously revealed high-res textures pack should be installed by anybody who wants to experience Battlefield 3 in high definition. As revealed by Bach, the high-res pack allows the game to stream in many of the details that gamers have been seeing in the game’s trailers and in the multiplayer beta....

This Into The Badlands review contains spoilers. Into the Badlands Season 3 Episode 15 I walked past a billboard the other day that said “If you want to change your future, change your now”. That phrase sums up this entire season of Into the Badlands for me. Instead of delivering a gloomy funeral procession hinted at by its name, “Requiem for the Fallen” looks to the future. It reminds us that the one thing all of its characters want the most right now is change — just a little bit of change to make the future better for the next generation....

It’s time to suit up once more, as Iron Man VR just implemented a New Game+ mode and four new weapons via a free update. Camouflaj has also added eight new Costume Armor Decos and a bunch of quality of life improvements. The New Game+ mode allows you to carry on playing with your Research Points and unlocks for the Impulse Armor. The new weapons will come in handy, as a new difficulty mode has been added that’s even tougher than Invincible, called Ultimate....

There are many fans of The Legend of Zelda series who are wondering whether one of the most polarizing entries in the franchise will make it’s way to the Nintendo Switch. Game Freak have held a secret press conference in Japan that has outlined the next few titles in the Pokémon series to will be released in 2018. An exciting new fan-made trailer concept is making the rounds that, if Activision is paying attention, could get the ball rolling on a really intriguing concept. Titled Call of Duty: Police Warfare, this game concept would be the franchise’s first title that is download-only and focuses solely on multiplayer. Co-op play has always been a big part of Halo, allowing two or more friends to play together through the game’s campaign story. While the game has been playable solo, a big part of the fun comes from the teamwork a group of friends can create. 343 Industries is looking to build upon this co-op experience in Halo 5: Guardians, by improving and fine-tuning aspects of co-op play. In an official blog post on Halo Waypoint, developer Josh Holmes went into detail on 343’s new take on co-op play....

Although it’s been about two years since 343 Industries released the last game in its first-person shooter franchise, gamers are already anticipating the release of Halo 6, especially with diehard fans having wanted more Master Chief out of the fifth installment in the series. However, it looks like those anxiously awaiting the reveal of the sixth entry will have exercise a great deal of patience, as the developer doesn’t plan on using E3 2017 to unveil the title....

After 12 long years of service at Blizzard, Hearthstone developer Dave Kosak revealed that he will be leaving the studio. The announcement was made via Kosak’s personal Twitter account, where he also revealed that his next stop will be at Deviation Games, where he has taken the role of the studio’s creative director. It is worth noting that Kosak’s departure came a month after Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime started a new development studio called Dreamhaven....

The ESA has revealed we’ll be able to experience all the gaming content the all-virtual show has to offer in two ways: through an online portal and a smartphone app. The E3 online portal and app will take the way fans experience the show from home to the next level, so to speak....

Guerrilla Games has taken to Twitter to proudly announce that Horizon: Zero Dawn, the action role-playing game with robot dinosaurs, has officially gone gold. In the wee hours of the morning, at least stateside, Guerrilla Games announced via Twitter that Horizon: Zero Dawn has gone gold. This means initial development has wrapped and the game should be ready to ship next month as expected. The posted was accompanied by a group photo of the development team holding champagne glasses and offering a virtual toast to the Internet to celebrate their hard work....

One of the biggest hits during the pandemic, and certainly the most iconically “Covid” movie, was Rob Savage’s smart horror Host, a 57 minute chiller based entirely over a Zoom call. It was scary, it was incredibly current and it put Savage and his cast and crew firmly on the horror map. Now with his follow up, Dashcam, Savage and his team are experimenting with the genre once again. Another found footage movie, Dashcam follows right-wing internet personality Annie Hardy (played by US musician Annie Hardy) as she live streams her increasingly bizarre evening for her fans (the whole thing is told via her dashcam or her mobile)....
