Microsoft Canada recently provided Game Rant with the opportunity to sit down for a brief interview with Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner. The skilled youngster was front and center for a recent promotional event at the Microsoft Store in Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall, as he went head-to-head with one lucky fan in NHL 18. We managed to take him away from the action to briefly discuss whether or not gaming is used by the Maple Leafs to bond, how the forward views his rating in the latest NHL video game, and whether or not Call of Duty going back to its World War II roots is a good call....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered players find hidden content that might suggest that Activision plans to release DLC for the game in the future. While there was a great deal of debate as to whether the futuristic combat of Infinite Warfare is the right direction for the Call of Duty franchise to be headed in, traditionalists were pleased to hear that Modern Warfare Remastered would be bundled with the release....

Having recently announced a number of secret projects, Bethesda Game Studios are looking for four new programmers, all of which are presumably for their next ‘bleeding-edge RPG’. After yesterday’s rumors of Fallout 5 entering pre-production, four new positions have opened up at Bethesda Game Studios, which has only served to increase speculation over Bethesda’s next move. Looking at the Bethesda website, it appears that the studio is on the lookout for a new engine programmer, a gameplay programmer, and two graphics programmers....

Sony is reportedly bidding to purchase Leyou Technology Holdings, which is a parent company to several major game development studios. Exactly what effect this would have on the games developed by those studios is as of yet unknown, but Leyou’s subsidiary companies are known for some pretty popular games. Most notably, Leyou is the parent company of Splash Damage and Digital Extremes. Splash Damage is best known for the Wolfenstein series, but also worked on the development of recent Gears of War games alongside The Coalition....

Destiny 2 announcement fervor has led a fan to create a Cabal invasion-themed poster that more appropriately fits his vision of the sequel, compared to what Bungie’s so far released. The poster, based on concept art from the original Destiny, features a Titan-class Guardian battling a squad of Cabal with the Traveler looming in the background. The poster captures some of the broader-scale warfare implied in Destiny 2’s debut story trailer....
