Halo 4 fans have had plenty of time to get used to the layout and look of the Longbow multiplayer map, as it was one of the first to be fully revealed by 343 Industries. It was even made playable to the public, due to its mixture of vehicular pathways and mid-to-close range sight lines. But experienced fans know not to judge a multiplayer map based on the way someone else traverses it, so gameplay video isn’t the final word....

At E3 2018, Microsoft officially unveiled Halo Infinite, the next main series game in the Halo franchise that will focus on Master Chief and his story. The trailer shown at the Microsoft conference is being called a demo for the new Slipspace engine running the game, and by the language being used, the actual launch date of the game could still be a ways off. But, it looks as though players will be side-by-side with 343 Industries over the course of development, including being able to playtest the game at certain stages....

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players are in the middle of a very busy September. The month kicked off with a surprise Dragon Week event that took the place of the delayed Brilliant Event. His Dark Materials is back for its third and final season, to tell the story of The Amber Spyglass. Hitman 3’s Death in the Family mission can be completed in a number of amusing ways, but the undisputed highlight of this assignment is the ability to pose as a private investigator and attempt to solve the murder of Zachary Carlisle. You might suspect that a “Whodunnit?” case built into a Hitman game would be somewhat watered down, but the truth of the matter is that Death in the Family’s murder mystery is one of the better examples of this format in video game history (and my personal favorite since the best quest in The Elder Scrolls franchise)....

The promotion for the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy game is in full swing and the title is already promising gamers plenty of bang for their buck. Now we’re told that they should expect more than 100 side quests as part of the larger wizarding experience. We’ve already heard that players will need to set aside a massive 75 hours to complete the game properly, although those who only want to get into the main storyline will likely be able to finish things off in around 40 hours....
