We’re honored to bring this roundtable conversation between three of speculative fiction’s most exciting up-and-coming authors: Emily Tesh, A.K. Larkwood, and Everina Maxwell. In it, the writers and IRL friends have a funny and insightful conversation about everything from fantasy maps (yea or nay?), writing an emerging romantic relationship (how do Tesh and Maxwell do it so well?), and worldbuilding (the struggle!). In honor of the recent publication of Tesh’s Drowned Country (the sequel to last year’s lush, folkloric fantasy Silver in the Wood), we’re running the first part of the conversation....

Immortal Empire lacks polish and suffers from simplistic gameplay, but in spite of its shortcomings there is something addictive about this free-to-play strategy game. While the movie tie-in genre tends to deliver some truly awful games, the games that are released usually make sense in terms of the property they are tying in with. There are, however, a few head scratchers that make us truly wonder if the publishers behind these projects realize the blatant cash grab. Rockstar’s latest update for Grand Theft Auto Online arrives today featuring a new vehicle, gunrunning bonuses, discounts, and a new Adversary Mode named Power Mad. Players can log into Grand Theft Auto 5’s online services right now and access all of the new content. The cash one will need to make the most of the new content is players’ own responsibility, but at the very least, folks can join into Power Mad and make a few bucks PvPing....

GTA Online’s latest update has removed some of the game’s jobs in order to make room for future features. Eight years on from its launch and GTA Online continues to receive weekly updates. With good reason too as the game continues to sell incredibly well – 145 million copies and counting – and has a very active online community. This week’s update brings with it a handful of new Survival maps, but an unfamiliar disclaimer at the foot of the page also reveals it has taken some content away....
