In mid-October, Bungie announced the departure of one of the company’s most popular employees. Dave “DeeJ” Dague had been at Bungie for 9 years, with his most recent four as the studio’s Communications Director. While there were ups and downs, just like with Destiny and Destiny 2, DeeJ was very well-regarded due to his constant communications with the Bungie community. DeeJ has now announced his new position, joining Iron Galaxy Studios as Head of Communications....

With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered only available through special editions of Infinite Warfare, one writer thinks this move may indicate Activision’s waving faith in the series. Last week proved to be an exciting one for first-person shooter fans, especially those who enjoy the rivalry between Call of Duty and Battlefield. While EA and DICE aim to bring players back in time to World War I in Battlefield 1, Infinity Ward is set in going the opposite direction with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare thanks to futuristic tech and battles taking place in space....

Grand Theft Auto Online has been treating players to a slew of new content with its Los Santos Summer Special update. Aside from new vehicles, missions, and the like, players can also now access new Business Battles, one of which takes place on the idling aircraft carrier, USS Luxington. The USS Luxington Business Battle offers GTA Online players the usual hefty prize of $10,000, alongside valuable goods for their nightclub and cash bonuses depending on completion time....

When HBO Max announced its Green Lantern live-action television series, speculation ran rampant on how the DC galactic superhero mantle would be handled after Ryan Reynolds starred in the notorious 2011 film flop. However, that speculation has just narrowed, with the casting of headliner Finn Wittrock. The catch? Rather than playing famous hero Hal Jordan, Wittrock will instead star as machismo-addled antihero Guy Gardner, who will eventually be joined by other ring-wielders from the comic lore....

Written by a Scot, adapted from an American novel, with a US director and two Brits playing Americans in the lead roles, HBO and Sky Atlantic co-production The Time Traveler’s Wife could scarcely be more transatlantic. The six-part time-travel rom-com, written by Steven Moffat based on Audrey Niffenegger’s hit 2003 book, is the story of Henry DeTamble, a Chicago librarian with a fantasy genetic condition that causes him to unexpectedly drop out and into his timeline, disappearing and reappearing in inconvenient times, places and states of undress....

There is quite a bit going on this week in Hearthstone. This week’s Tavern Brawl is well worth the time to play as it is tied to the current event and legendary questline. The format is The Rumbledome, where each player wields weapons to crush their opponent. In all honesty, this is one of the most RNG, high-roll dependant brawls – but it is still great fun. It feels like players are dropped into a literal warzone as they struggle to find supplies and buy the things they need to survive. It takes a lot of strategy and perseverance to win, but teamwork is the key when it comes to a victory. Just ahead of E3 2018, Warner Bros. Interactive and IO have dropped a surprise reveal trailer for Hitman 2. The sequel will return to the story of Agent 47 and introduce some exciting new game modes that aim to put a fresh spin on the revitalized Hitman franchise. The announcement arrives just a day after the title leaked, so this was likely meant to be an E3 surprise. Hitman 2 will take players to a fresh sandbox full of new weapons, locations, targets, and tools to plan their perfect assassination....

Hogwarts Legacy is an upcoming Avalanche Software RPG set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter during the late 1800s. The reveal trailer for the game shows that players will have the opportunity to add their “own story to these hallowed halls” as a student of Hogwarts, while also exploring a “larger world beyond these walls.” The game’s announcement will be hugely exciting for many Harry Potter fans who have long-waited for a high-budget RPG set in the Wizarding World....

Now Green Hell, which has sold over a million copies, is in development for VR according to a press release. It will be adapted from its original first-person view by Incuvo, a European development studio that specializes in VR games. The team, which worked on the VR adaptations of Layers of Fear and Blair Witch, focuses on finding a balance between a title’s gameplay and established VR practices in order to create a high level of immersion, according to the release....
