Several weeks ago, the developer Rockstar Games officially announced its decision to add Nightclubs to its multiplayer title Grand Theft Auto Online at some point this month, but the studio failed to provide an exact date for fans. Thankfully, Rockstar has now given an exact day as to when players should expect the update to arrive, with what is now being called “After Hours” coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the open world release next week on July 24, 2018....

While the imposing Brutes and the calculating Elites tend to take the spotlight in many of the battles between the humans and the Covenant in the Halo series, it’s easy to forget that the Covenant forces are made up of several additional races that the player must battle against. One such race is the Jackals, who appear most frequently wielding shields or acting as snipers on the battlefield. Although the Halo series is fairly light on story and lore if players simply power through the game, there are enough pieces of information scattered throughout the games, comics, and novelizations of the series that allow players to gain greater insight into the lives of the characters in the series, including the Covenant and the various races that make it up....

The Halo series is an interesting one to look at under a microscope. Generally, successful console shooters are designed with competitive multiplayer in mind, even occasionally built that way first with a linear ‘campaign’ attached as the last ingredient. Other shooters focus on narrative first, throwing players into dense fiction for a single playthrough, before being placed with reverence upon their shelf. Yet Halo seems to walk both sides of the line....

The only review of Zack Snyder’s latest film (Army of the Dead) that actually matters is here. The mind behind Metal Gear and Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima, says the film turned his “head into a zombie”, and that it didn’t try to “make a metaphor for society.” Fans are currently trying to determine whether Kojima’s review was positive or negative. It’s a very current story of two Sudanese refugees who are given asylum in Britain but under some oppressive conditions including that they must not work and they must not leave the house which they are assigned. But the couple has brought something with them on their journey and the two are tormented inside the squalid house by ghosts and apparitions who live in the walls but can inflict very real damage on the pair....

Focus Home dropped another look at the upcoming team-based stealth-action adventure, Hood: Outlaws & Legends. In a new video, the team at Sumo Newcastle highlighted all the challenges waiting for the players at one of the most difficult in-game fortresses, Caer Merthyr. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is set in a violent medieval world, inspired by a “dark version of Robin Hood,” where rival gangs compete in intense PvPvE multiplayer heists.
