For better or worse, the newest Ranked Mode overhaul is now live in Hearthstone. Within the announcement for The Year of the Phoenix rotation, the finer details were inadvertently buried thanks to the several other changes and new features coming to the game. Upon closer inspection, the changes to ranked play offer nothing positive to the majority of players, and will arguably be a net negative change. New Names, Familiar Faces At its core, the new Ranked Mode is basically the same as before, with a few notable exceptions....

GoldenEye 007 was released for the Nintendo 64 exactly 20 years ago in August 1997. The game could be considered the first made-for-console first-person shooter to ever garner commercial success. Most of the console shooters at the time were ports of arcade rail-shooters without the freedom of GoldenEye. The shooters that did allow for open-world and dynamic gameplay was reserved for computer gaming, such as Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament. After a good wait, Hitman 3 is out and in players’ hands. After an action packed release trailer, players can experience the action of the end of the World of Assassination trilogy for themselves. Much of what made the previous two titles so popular is still present in Hitman 3. All the various firearms, gadgets, and “accidental” methods of murder are still available to players in spades, but that tends to leave a bunch of bodies lying around....

With E3 gone, indie games studios and publishers are looking for new ways to get their games out there into the world.
