Daybreak Games’ free-to-play battle royale title, H1Z1, may have just released on PS4, but it’s not all good news from the company, as its has officially announced that the game’s online survival mode, Just Survive, is being retired. The Halo series has a vast amount of lore that has been expanded upon in other media such as the Halo movies and the books. There are two tales in the realm of entertainment that are forever entwined for their groundbreaking stories, shocking plot-twists, deep characters, lovable heroes, and rollercoaster narratives. Those two entities are of course Lilo and Stich and Halo 2. No, really. A shocking revelation has presented itself about the plots of 2004’s Halo 2 and the Disney animated film Lilo and Stitch, thanks to a Redditor named newhampshiresmashed and his girlfriend. Apparently, the Arbiter from Halo 2 and Jumpa from the Disney movie have eerily similar story arcs....

Halo 2 has always stood out as the one game in the original trilogy that didn’t conclude with an iconic Warthog run. As it turns out, that’s because the one it was supposed to have ended up getting cut prior to the final release. Fortunately, Bungie left most of the map and relevant files for the scrapped Warthog run in the game for future modders to eventually dig up. One player in particular, black dimund, recently stepped up to the plate and restored the Warthog finale that never was using all of these original files, as well as some scripting of his own....

Along with Halo Infinite’s first gameplay reveal, there was an additional tease at the end of the demo showcasing the main villain. The Brute at the end of the demo is War Chief Escharum, leader of the Banished on this new Halo ring. While fans of Halo Wars know who the Banished are, Escharum marks the first of the Banished to arrive in a mainline Halo game. This means he’s likely working in service to the true leader of the Banished, a Brute named Atriox....

After Dean Israelite’s Power Rangers failed to launch the franchise into a new era, it seemed as though that would be the last time any studio would take a shot at a reboot. However, it looks like Hasbro is not giving up on the colorful heroes just yet as the company, which recently acquired Entertainment One studios, has officially confirmed its plans for a full-on Rangers revival. Execs are convinced that there is still much room for the franchise to evolve and become successful among a new generation of viewers....

Don’t worry Harry Potter fans, Rupert Grint and his popular character Ron Weasley from the film adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s series of novels is currently trending on Twitter for a good reason, much like Newgrounds was trending earlier this month. Today, E! News published a story confirming that Grint and Georgia Groome, an English actress arguably best known for playing Georgia Nicolson in 2008’s Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, are expecting their first child together....

If I have one wish this year it’s that Bethesda learns from the sales of Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch and decide to port more games to it. More games like Fallout 3. The Skyrim Remaster on Switch gave me enough of a reason to jump back in. It doesn’t look, or run as good as the PS4, or Xbox One editions, or even as exciting as the PSVR one, but portability is my middle name....
