Even though the Hitman series has gone through a revamp, there are many fans who still consider Blood Money as the superior entry in the series. That would be selling 2016’s Hitman short, though, as this game is packed with many hidden things waiting to be found. Quite a few are shown as challenges to be completed, but since there are no clues as to how these can be achieved, almost every player has finished the game without ever knowing about these hidden things....

Google held another Stadia Connect to announce new partnerships, new games coming to the platform, and other existing games being added to the Stadia library. Later this year, Stadia players will be able to play through the first two Hitman games in the franchises’ recent reboot as well as newly announced Hitman 3 next year. Google’s latest Stadia Connect announced plenty of different games coming to the platform. While many of the games that were included in the presentation are already available on other platforms, video game players who are interested in an all-streaming future have plenty to be excited about....

Horizon Zero Dawn developer, Guerilla Games, is currently the largest video game studio in Amsterdam, and it appears that their next move will solidify them in that position for years to come. Guerilla Games CEO, Hermen Hulst, revealed that the studio will be moving into a newer, larger space at the beginning of next year. The move will also allow plenty of room for the company to expand its current roster of 250 permanent employees up to 400....

Announced in March, Quantum Error is one of the first horror games making its way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, bringing a mix of intense action and creepy sci-fi scares. Initial reactions to the game have been positive, with players apparently ready to dive into its unnerving setting to discover what mysteries lie behind its terrifying monsters. If prospective fans needed any more reason to dig into Quantum Error, the game has just received a new trailer featuring what appears to be one of the story’s antagonistic forces....

The upcoming Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, will feature an extensive ensemble cast. Even though the focus of House of the Dragon will primarily be on the Targaryens and their bloody civil war, there are plenty of characters outside the titular house of dragons that will help expand the world of Westeros during this time period. Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, we get to see familiar houses and families at different stages of power, as well as powerful houses like the Velaryons who are all but wiped out by the time Game of Thrones begins....

Emma Mieko Candon, author of Star Wars: Ronin, is pulling from Star Wars the way George Lucas drew from Akira Kurosawa films. Her novel redefines pop culture vocabulary like “Jedi” and “Sith” in order to bring them back to the ideas that inspired them: Force-users as samurai, and all that implies. In the novel, it’s the Jedi who are affiliated with Imperial lords and the Sith who have rebelled against them....

After James Gunn was (temporarily) fired by Marvel Studios from working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in the wake of a controversy ginned-up by old tweets, it didn’t take long before he found a home with Marvel’s “Distinguished Competition” at Warner Bros. An announcement came just two short months later that Gunn would take over as writer and director of The Suicide Squad. While the notion of James Gunn taking on a team of misfit, C-list characters for a big team movie may call to mind his other superhero franchise, the director told reporters during a 2019 visit to the set of The Suicide Squad that any similarities end there, promising that his DC movie “is a much, much, much rougher film” than what we got in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies....

After its premiere was delayed by several months due to COVID-19, the two-season The Walking Dead spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond finally makes its debut this week. The story expands the TWD universe in a unique way, taking place 10 years after the zombie outbreak and focusing on a predominantly teenage cast of characters. Unlike the battered groups of survivors from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, these teens have been sheltered from walkers (or “empties,” as they’re called on this show) within the walls of a university in Omaha, Nebraska, a thriving colony that has afforded them a relatively normal, safe life post-outbreak....

I’ve finally stopped sleeping on Temtem. It passed me by last year, but since coming to PS5 this January, I’ve had my eye on it. Ratchet & Clank used to have some very on-the-nose naming when it came to its games, so much so that European variants had their own titles: Locked and Loaded versus Going Commando, the boring 3 versus the wonderful Up Your Arsenal, Deadlocked versus Gladiator. It was Insomniac’s juvenile but charming humor bundled into a neat little package that really oozed the game’s tone just from picking up the box and giving it a quick glance....

I will almost never download a mobile game onto my phone. The last mobile game I downloaded before the other day was Fire Emblem Heroes—because I am relatively obsessed with the Fire Emblem series—and it was exactly as disappointing as I figured it would be. Perhaps it’s my own fault for holding mobile games up to a ridiculous standard. It’s difficult though, because even the Fire Emblem games on the old Game Boy systems were a million times better than Fire Emblem Heroes....
