I Am Dead From Annapurna Interactive Gets Release Date

There is no shortage of games that explore the concept of death and the afterlife, and soon players will have another one to add to that list. Today, Annapurna Interactive announced that the “charming puzzle adventure game” I Am Dead will be launching on October 8 for PC (via the Epic Games Store and Steam) and the Nintendo Switch. Created by Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg, the developers behind such games as Hohokum and Wilmont’s Warehouse, I Am Dead will put players in the role of Morris Lupton, a former museum curator and fresh ghost, who discovers that a volcanic eruption is about to destroy his tiny home island of Shelmerston....

If Minecraft Learns Anything From Valheim It Should Be To Include More Bosses

Minecraft’s first boss flapped its wings and arrived in the aetherial dimension of the End in November 2011. It was a monumental moment in the history of the game as it provided a milestone that many could strive to achieve, and whether you dived into the fold beyond the rolling of the credits was up to you. The Wither debuted only a year later in the ‘Pretty Scary Update’ followed by the Elder Guardian two years later in 2014....

If Nier Replicant Sells 2 5 Million Copies Square Enix Will Add Papa Nier To The Game

Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is based on the original release in Japan where the protagonist is a young boy, not the Gestalt version players in the West received where Nier is a grizzled angry dad. Square Enix hasn’t said anything to officially announce if Papa Nier will ever see the remake treatment, but a cheeky remark during a Christmas live stream may give you a little hope for the troubled dad’s future....

Indiana Jones 5 Everything We Know About One More Harrison Ford Adventure

When the lights went up on 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, even the most diehard Indy fan felt a little disappointed. Sure, we still had three great movies filled with all the archeology and Nazi-punching anyone could want. But few could ignore the sense that the beloved adventurer/part-time teacher was going out on a sour note. With Lucasfilm under new management since the Disney buyout in 2012, it seemed inevitable we’d see the trusty ol’ fedora again....

Indie Games Are Filling The Dark Souls Vacuum Left By Elden Ring

Fans of From Software’s notoriously difficult series have been left hanging for the majority of 2020 as they wait for even more news on Elden Ring, let alone a release date. However, as players prepare for Sekiro’s content updated coming in October, the indie scene has been hard at work filling the gap left by the lack of new Souls-like content from the series’ primary developer. Recent games have reached for the top of the rankings for the best Souls-likes, like Mortal Shell, so fans of this specific sub-genre currently have a pretty massive list of games to occupy their time....

Intel 10900K Processors Accidentally Shipped Early Then Recalled

Two days ago, preorders went live for Intel’s newest cutting edge mainstream microprocessor, the Core i9-10900K CPU. Pre-orders opening led to many PC enthusiasts speculating that the chip’s release date might be approaching quickly. Though that would be silly, considering the lack of availability for the i9-10900K’s required motherboards. Nevertheless, enthusiasts’ jaws dropped when, to the surprise of everyone, the CPUs started shipping out from retailers. Several threads across Reddit and other PC enthusiast forums plot the progress of their CPU being shipped....

Interview Oleksa Lozowchuk On Hitting Harps With Mallets In The Name Of Horizon S Soundtrack

“Our primary thing on Horizon Forbidden West was to really communicate the emotion of Aloy,” Oleksa Lozowchuk, one of the composers for Horizon Forbidden West tells me. “Where she was in the world, in her narrative, or what she was potentially feeling, we communicated that. Sometimes that would be taking a single instrument and literally bowing it or plucking it, but doing it in a textured way, where you couldn’t really make out what [the sound was]....

It S Ridiculous That Gyarados Isn T In New Pokemon Snap

The context for why Magikarp, a pathetic little fish who is so bad at being a sea creature it can barely swim, evolves into the almighty Gyarados is some of the most fascinating lore in Pokemon history. Newcomers to the series will often take one look at the only-knows-Splash-until-level-15 Magikarp and say, “Nah, not for me” - although those of us with a bit more experience know better than that....
