There is no shortage of games that explore the concept of death and the afterlife, and soon players will have another one to add to that list. Today, Annapurna Interactive announced that the “charming puzzle adventure game” I Am Dead will be launching on October 8 for PC (via the Epic Games Store and Steam) and the Nintendo Switch. Created by Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg, the developers behind such games as Hohokum and Wilmont’s Warehouse, I Am Dead will put players in the role of Morris Lupton, a former museum curator and fresh ghost, who discovers that a volcanic eruption is about to destroy his tiny home island of Shelmerston....

Last month, a wave of violence struck Gaza after Palestinians protested the forced eviction of six local families. One nostalgic fan of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remakes the 2004 title’s trailer in the action-adventure franchise’s most recent entry of GTA 5. A new hacker group threatens to take down both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for up to a week starting on Christmas Day after temporarily taking down service on Xbox Live. In a sort of warped holiday tradition, it appears a new hacker group aims to bring down both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live later this week on Christmas Day. Known as Phantom Squad, the group has claimed responsibility for the recent Xbox Live outage which appears to have affected some users who attempted to log in to the service over the previous night....

While many gaming fans are presently content with the platforms that the current generation has to offer, there are always some who continue to look toward the future in order to wonder and predict what kind of cutting-edge technology and hardware will be offered to consumers. Blizzard has revealed that Hearthstone’s 20.0 patch will arrive on March 25, featuring balance changes, the “new” Classic format, a set rotation, and more. The patch will be live for five days before the Forged in the Barrens expansion launches on March 30, meaning that this might be the strangest week in the history of Hearthstone with Standard decks that will only be available during this short window. The upcoming balance update will only target one card, the dual-class Nitroboost Poison for the Rogue and Warrior, which is having its mana cost doubled from one to two....
