David Gordon Green’s Halloween (2018), intended as a direct sequel to the original Halloween by John Carpenter, was reasonably well-received, making $255 million from a $10 million budget. Including the original 1978 film, there are currently 11 Halloween movies, and according to Green, he plans to make two more before he’s done with the franchise, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. The 2018 film was intended to be the first of a trilogy following Laurie, her granddaughter Allyson, and of course, Michael Myers....

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has had to make a lot of changes to keep its players engaged and active over the last month and looking forward into May. Just like Pokemon GO, Wizards Unite needed to adjust many of its core features to make the mobile AR experience more playable for players who are stuck indoors thanks to stay-at-home orders and other coronavirus precautions. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is free to play on Steam this weekend. Y’know, in case you still haven’t played it. While Metal Gear fans will likely be disappointed that they’ll have to wait until 2015 for The Phantom Pain, cryptic new comments from series creator Hideo Kojima suggests that there might be a consolation prize set for release this year. A tweet from Kojima presenting an image, seemingly taken from some sort of presentation, that simply bears the words ‘Metal Gear Collection 2014’ and the Kojima Productions logo. Hitman 3 is a serious game with amusing gameplay. It’s a game all about assassinating targets in the most absurd ways possible. A simple headshot could do the trick but there’s no fun in that. The real fun is manipulating the game’s levels to ensure characters die in weird accidents that basically keep Agent 47’s hands as clean as possible. Like the previous two entries, Hitman 3 has no shortage of memorable ways to kill these targets....

Horizon Forbidden West is a massive game filled with a ton of collectibles, side activities, and customization options. The title’s survey drones not only check all three of those boxes but provide a respite from the usual pursuit of destroying robots. As you wander the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon Forbidden West, you’ll find a total of ten drones surveying the land. Each drone is easily identified by a beam of light and a signature “ping” sound, and while their only loot, a series of modules, initially appear to simply alter the look of GAIA’s room in The Base, they are also tied to a special collection quest....

In Horizon Zero Dawn there are five Hunting Grounds. At these hunting grounds, you can test your skills with specific pieces of weaponry or test your own tactical thinking. Each Hunting Ground focuses on a specific area of skills and Valleymeet focuses on elemental weaponry. The Keeper of this Hunting Ground is incredibly rude to Aloy, so it becomes all the more satisfying when you get a Blazing Sun and he has to eat his words....

According to rumors, there’s plenty more Horizon Zero Dawn coming in the future, and for good reason. The first game received a lot of praise upon its release on the PS4, so its no surprise there’s potentially more games in the Horizon franchise coming. Although most recently, rumors have come out stating that Horizon Zero Dawn was always meant to be the first of a trilogy that was greenlit by Sony....

Starks and Lannisters. Targaryens and Tyrells. The Baratheon Stag and the Bolton Flayed Man. There are so, so many families of varying position and power in Game of Thrones that it could initially be dizzying. Indeed, we still recall how the early seasons were often hyped in major print publications with actual family trees, as well as cheat sheets on the history of the Seven Kingdoms. To the show’s credit, audiences learned it all....

Overall, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been received pretty well by fans, scoring an 80% on Metacritic and an 8/10 on IGN. While there is tons of great content and gameplay in Valhalla, it falls a bit short when it comes to replay value. There has been a long-standing debate about whether Ubisoft made the right move in reducing the number of side quests in Valhalla and changing the structure of the quests altogether....
