Crytek has just teased the newest update and event for Hunt: Showdown, and it is holiday-themed. Hunt: Showdown may seem closer to Halloween than Christmas, with its horror-based elements, but the Blood and Ice update looks to bring Christmas trees, presents, and perhaps even Scrooge, based solely on the twenty-second teaser. A quick teaser has just been posted on the official Hunt: Showdown Twitter page. Blood and Ice is coming soon, and a developer live stream is taking place tomorrow at 2:30 PM CET (8:30 AM ET) to give Hunters a closer look at the content....

Hunter x Hunter is an anime that is beloved beyond belief and sadly has been on hiatus for a number of years. Inner Voices, a first-person horror adventure game from publisher Fat Dog Games, is scheduled to launch on May 10. The PC exclusive title features semi-randomized gameplay where each playthrough will feature a selection of rooms to explore, taken from a pool of 50 rooms altogether. Each room will feature puzzles of varying difficulty, and will come together to build a Lovecraftian horror story with three different possible endings. John Blake is the focus of this horror story....

The franchise’s emphasis on patience will affect future New Horizons updates as far as game director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami are concerned. According to an interview with CNET in April, they intend to give players a steady stream of updates for the next two to three years. These updates could see improvements in fishing and fossil-collecting as well and possible expansions to keep players entertained. We are now able to play the multiplayer platform game It Takes Two on PC. The game was announced in June 2020 during EA Play, and the date is finally here! It Takes Two is available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Unfortunately, Hazelight Studios has stated that there are no plans for this game to hit Nintendo Switch. Electronic Arts announces seven games that will be added to the Origin Access vault this summer, including all three Crysis games, and classic RPG Jade Empire. The $5 per month subscription price to download free games from the Origin Access vault is going to be an even better deal later this summer. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was released on Playstation 2 in 2001. The game is an open-world platformer and is the first time we get to meet the sarcastic Daxter and heroic Jak. The game kicked off an amazing franchise that many people loved. It’s even rated as one of the best 3D platformers for PS2 according to Metacritic. There was a clear mixture of ‘real bosses’ and just levels that you had to pass to show that you had completed one section of the game....

The inaugural version of Firefight in Halo 3: ODST had a variety of characters to play as. You could play as any of the members of the ODST squad, Veronica Dare, and, if you preordered the game, Sgt. Johnson himself. Your character would quip throughout the matches, commenting on headshots, reloading and more. Reach’s Firefight let players use their custom Spartan model and select a voice separately. Some voices returned, like Eddie Buck and Sgt....

Halo 4 continued the trend set by Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST of including multiple terminals, scattered throughout the campaign, perfect for fans looking to better understand the complex history of the Halo universe. Halo 4 features seven total terminals, one on each level except for the first mission, Dawn. These terminals tell the story of the fallen romance between the Didact and the Librarian, and the Didact’s descent into malevolence and construction of his Forerunner army, which Master Chief takes head-on in the Halo 4 campaign....

Halo hasn’t really been a franchise to shy away from elaborating its lore. Through the storytelling in various graphic novels, comic series, and movies/shows, the Microsoft classic’s universe has continued to expand over the years. This year is no different, as 343 Industries announced on Tuesday that a new comic miniseries will be released later this year. The Halo miniseries will consist of three parts, the first of which will go on sale June 6 and is available for pre-order now at local comic shops....
