Since its initial release in 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online has seen a large amount of DLC expansion packs to ensure that the players get the best online experience ever. For Rockstar, the video game publisher, GTAO is a revenue monster, racking them a whopping $1 billion in four years, as TweakTown reported. Unfortunately, not every DLC update witnessed the same amount of excitement over the other. Started from its first ‘Beach Bum Update’ back in 2013, these are 5 of the best and the worst of Grand Theft Auto Online DLC updates....

The GTA universe offers a unique look at the United States of America with its own version of major U.S cities. The beloved Vice City for instance is based on Miami. But out of all the cities, Rockstar has added to the series, the two that stand above them all are Los Santos and Liberty City. Both cities each have their own unique charms about them that separate them both just like their real-world counterparts of Los Angeles and New York City respectively....

Halo Wars makes its well-anticipated return with two new trailers revealed courtesy of E3. A week long beta is available now for players on Xbox One and will be coming to Windows 10. Although it seems that there’s not going to be a main Halo title announced at this year’s E3, Microsoft has revealed new details about the upcoming Halo Wars 2, including two brand new trailers. The announcement trailer for the second installment in the Halo Wars franchise shows the Spirit of Fire and her crew, led by Captain Cutter facing off against a deadly new faction known as The Banished....

British actress Hannah John-Kamen has been cast to play the titular female warrior in the upcoming Red Sonja movie. The casting is the latest news to come out of Millennium Film’s latest take on the sword and sorcery feature, which is being directed by Transparent writer Joey Solloway. Sonja made her first appearance in the early 1970s, and was created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith from Marvel Comics. The character was introduced as a powerful warrior who fought with Conan the Barbarian in the fictional Hyborian Age, but after gaining recognition with readers, she was given her own series....

Though Harlan Coben thrillers generally take place in the same recognisably middle class world of Range Rovers, gated communities and marble kitchen islands, his inter-connected Myron Bolitar series excluded, they’re not set in a shared fictional universe. While it’s clear the release of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on PC was always the main priority for developers Blizzard, its excellent iPad version has only served to stoke the fires for fans waiting for a wider mobile release. Now, Blizzard has confirmed that they’ll have to wait a while longer, stating on their blog that that Hearthstone for Android Devices and the iPhone won’t be released until 2015. Of course, that could mean another two months or another twelve — the launch of the game on iPad was also preceded by the same sense of uncertainty....

That’s because HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series has just cast some interesting new characters, some of whom notably bear the Lannister surname, indicating a deviously game-changing presence. Indeed, with the prequel set to showcase the build-up to a historically protracted bit of royal Targaryen infighting known as the Dance of the Dragons, House Lannister still has a role to play, even some 200 years before the events of the main series....

Hoverloop, the game about hovering drones armed to the teeth and battling it out in arena-based combat, will release on Steam and Xbox One later this fall. Remember Battlebots? That show where teams made deadly robots equipped with buzzsaws and flamethrowers and fought to the death in an arena? Hoverloop is a lot like that, only the robots can fly and be equipped with death lasers, holographic projectors, and toilet paper....

While it doesn’t quite stack up to its DC counterpart, the Marvel Animated Universe stretched through the ’90s and had some real bangers. Much like the modern cinematic universe, various cartoons were connected as one giant piece of continuity. X-Men and Spider-Man were the biggest hits while Iron Man, Fantastic Four, and others had less of an impact. The closest thing they had to a climactic culmination was the Secret Wars adaptation near the end of Spider-Man’s final season....

One of the highlights of the current era of Star Trek is the return of Kate Mulgrew to the role of Admiral Kathryn Janeway, who fans first met as the captain of the USS Voyager in the series of the same name. During Voyager‘s original run from 1995 to 2001, Janeway led the stranded Intrepid-class starship through a hostile Delta Quadrant full of Borg, and when she finally got her crew back home safe, the captain was promoted to vice admiral by Starfleet....

The Final Fantasy franchise has used four powerful bosses with elemental themes since the first game in the series, which is something that has also been used a lot in Dungeons & Dragons. Final Fantasy IV had its own set of iconic elemental villains in the form of the Archfiends, and these can easily be used as bosses in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. The first member of the Archfiends is Scarmiglione, who is also known as the Blighted Despot....

Immortals Fenyx Rising will get its second of three planned DLCs on March 25. Titled, Myths of the Eastern Realm, the add-on will introduce a new open-world, characters, and a story based on Chinese mythology that follows a new hero named Ku. If you’re curious about Myths of the Eastern Realm, you can check out a “special primer quest” – We Are Not Alone – which Ubisoft launched earlier today. Sometimes in the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 3 a kill is hard fought and well earned, forcing the dueling combatants to use both their knowledge of the terrain and mastery of their arsenal to reign supreme. And other times…well other times a knife you threw across the map just happens to get a kill some 30 seconds after being thrown. That was the case with this Modern Warfare 3 GR Pick, which features perhaps the luckiest knife kill seen in the Call of Duty series....
