Injustice 2 Mobile has launched on iPhone, iPad, and Android Devices, accompanied by a new official launch trailer. The touch-controlled fighting and gacha game is a companion release to the upcoming Injustice 2 console release on May 16. Players can download the game now for free and begin unlocking new characters, earning gear and experience, and playing through the Injustice 2 story’s first chapter. More information has been revealed about NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming fighting game, Injustice 2. According to Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon, the game will feature a gear system that allows players to customize their DC heroes and villains, allowing for stat changes. Injustice 2 will make use of loot box system, where players can collect new items after every fight....

After years of development in Steam’s Early Access program, H1Z1 has finally had a complete launch today. Every year, countless retro indie platformers flood the digital marketplace, and so it’s no surprise Horace flew under the radar when it launched on Steam last summer. But that’s unfortunate, as Horace is truly something special, and now that it’s made its way to the Nintendo Switch, hopefully it gets the attention that it deserves. Horace is able to differentiate itself from the pack mainly thanks to its engaging, heartfelt story and fantastic cast of characters, things that are usually hard to come by in the platforming genre....

With the announcement of the upcoming PlayStation 5 also came the reveal of may games that would be coming to the console. A few standouts were the sequel to the Ratchet and Clank remake and yet another port of Grand Theft Auto V, but one of the biggest reveals was no doubt the long-awaited follow up to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West. During the Xbox Games Showcase several weeks ago, Obsidian Entertainment revealed a new project called Avowed that is currently in development. Apart from a short cinematic trailer, Obsidian didn’t really provide many details about the upcoming game except that it’s going to be a first-person fantasy RPG based on the Pillars of Eternity universe. Of course, this small piece of information quickly opened up conversations about another similar franchise, which is Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls....

Square Enix is hard at work on the much anticipated remake of Final Fantasy 7 that was announced at E3 2015, but it seems that there’s a need for more staff to complete the project. The company has begun a recruitment drive, featuring messages of encouragement from key members of the team. “Twenty years have gone by and the number of generations that aren’t familiar with Final Fantasy 7 is increasing, so we must remake the game using today’s technology and systems in order to make it into a title that can last several more decades,” wrote the project’s director, Tetsuya Nomura....
