The Last Stand update is now live in Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam, bringing over 1000 changes to the game along with brand-new content for you to experience. Along with a new campaign, aptly titled The Last Stand, the patch brings bug fixes, quality of life improvements, new weapons, Survival maps, and much more. The “new” campaign is only now officially a part of the game, but prior to that has been available as a community favorite for some time....

Many fans are excited for Halo: The Master Chief Collection to come to the PC in its entirety as it has been enjoyed by many on the Xbox One. Players have been able to experience all the original Halo games on the Xbox One, and fans have been keen to hear updates on the status of the PC version Halo 2. The team behind the PC and Xbox port of the collection, 343 Industries, has now delivered news about the PC port as well as an unfortunate update about a bug within localized co-op mode for the Xbox One....

Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced that Halo 4 will be joining the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on November 17, 2020. It may not be the exact Halo title that fans expected to be playing this month, but it does fulfill the promise that 343 made earlier this year: every game in the Halo compilation is now on PC. The development team over behind Halo Infinite over at 343 Industries has had a lot to confirm over the past few weeks. Many of these mix ups were a result of the recent Halo Infinite delay in early August. Following the delay, 343 Industries has a lot to deliver with Halo Infinite as fans expectations are sure to rise as the release date gets farther away. Now, it’s being reported that Joseph Staten, known for his work as the director of cinematics and writer for mission scripts for Bungie’s Halo games, is being put in a leadership position for Infinite at 343....

In July of this year, Microsoft debuted the first footage of Halo Infinite during its Xbox Games Showcase event. The gameplay was almost instantly hit with harsh criticisms regarding its underwhelming visuals, especially for an Xbox Series X launch title. Following this, Microsoft made the hard decision to delay the game into 2021, revoking its status as the Xbox Series X’s major launch title. Now, developer 343 Industries has revealed that Halo Infinite is intended to launch in “fall 2021....

Now that Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Series X price and release date, PlayStation fans are becoming even more impatient to learn more about Sony’s next-generation console. Pikachu is trending on Twitter, and it is for a reason beyond the Pokemon character’s usual cuteness. Rather than the Pokemon developers giving Pikachu a new hat in Pokemon Sword and Shield, the reason for the character’s Twitter trend is a bit more obvious. Alan Moore’s seminal graphic novel Watchmen has recently exploded thanks to its HBO series, the same network now working on a spin-off of The Shining. Disney is very successful in capturing this essence for its viewers and has proceeded to sprinkle it in most of their works. Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon is a prequel series set in the same world. House of the Dragon tells the story of the Targaryen family at the height of their reign. According to series co-creator Ryan Condal “It’s a moment of high wealth and greatness. The Targaryens have been in high power for a hundred years, and they’re really beyond reproach.” The Targaryens, and the world of Westeros as a whole, that we see in House of the Dragon are set to be very different from what we see in Game of Thrones....

Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 recently added a new expansion known as the Ethiopia Pack, which is just one part of a list of planned expansions that will be steadily released over the coming months. The New Frontier Pass still has 4 expansions left to release for Civilization 6 ,with the next one coming out in September. For much of Robin Hardy’s cult classic of British cinema, The Wicker Man, you would be excused for not realizing you were watching a horror movie. Granted, this cornerstone of folk horror is bizarre from the word go, and more than a few scenes border on the perverse, yet it functionally is not trying to scare you; the movie prefers to madden and intrigue via the mystery of a missing child on a remote Scottish isle....

If there is one thing you can count on from developer Inti Creates, it is a game that is highly replayable. Each title from the studio might not be the longest game you’ll ever experience, but they each encourage multiple playthroughs to find every nook and cranny. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, the NES inspired spin-off to Ritual of the Night, even played with that idea by locking a “true” ending behind multiple playthroughs....
