Defiant Development, makers of Hand of Fate, have announced that the studio is closing after nine years of business. In a statement published on social media channels, the studio says that they have “not been able to change quickly enough” in the fast moving games market. Blizzard Entertainment’s Hearthstone, a virtual card game based on the World of Warcraft universe, has been updated with major expansions throughout 2020 as part of its “Year of the Phoenix.” After teasing Hearthstone’s big fall reveal in October, developers unveiled the year’s final expansion Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, which officially launched worldwide today.
