Last week, we here at Game Rant were given the opportunity to go hands on with a preview of BioWare’s forthcoming action-RPG Anthem during a press event at EA headquarters, and we walked away impressed with the potential that the gameplay holds, but a bit wary about how the story would be handled. Of course, with this being the developer’s first attempt at a connected loot based shooter, we were left wondering about the development process behind the release and what the company’s plans are for the game at launch and beyond....

Earlier this week, developer Jam City added the Duelling Club back to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, with an improvement that was much-appreciated by fans. Unlike previous iterations of the in-game event, this time players were able to recharge tickets by waiting three hours, as opposed to having to buy more tickets with gems like before. While this was a smart change, this new version of the Duelling Club was not without its problems, and has many fans across the web accusing it of being “rigged....

Almost three months later, Cyberpunk 2077 is still missing from the PlayStation store after it was removed by Sony. To label CyberPunk 2077’s launch tumultuous would be quite the understatement. A series of delays resulted in Cyberpunk’s release taking place almost eight years after it was first announced. The most shocking part is after all that time, it became clear very quickly that the game still wasn’t ready. So unready, in fact, that Sony decided to delist it from the PlayStation Store....

Becoming a content creator on YouTube is a dream for many people these days, even if those people already have a massive fan base they’ve established through decades-long acting careers. Such is the case with Jack Black, who recently started his own gaming channel, Jablinski Games. Following its release of The Outer Worlds last year, many fans didn’t expect to see Obsidian’s next title as a survival style game in the vein of the classic film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. After defeating the final boss for the first time, Hades will grant Zagreus the Pact of Punishment. This contract has a list of conditions that can be implemented to fill a Heat gauge, which Zagreus must do in order to earn more rewards from each section’s final boss....

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery seems to be out of its content slump, as Jam City has consistently been adding new chapters to the game. Last week, it added both Year 5 Chapter 3 and Year 5 Chapter 4, and now it has added Year 5 Chapter 5, giving fans of the game six new story objectives to complete as well as two classes. Year 5 Chapter 5 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery continues the quest to save Penny Haywood’s sister from being trapped in a magical portrait....

Last week’s earthshaking decision by WarnerMedia to launch the entire Warner Bros. Video games like to hide little hidden secrets that only the most devoted gamers can ultimately find. Easter eggs have become so commonplace in video games that they can be found in nearly every major release from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, and are frequently found in PC and arcade games as well. It’s come to the point where the programmers have taken to hiding even more secrets in their games. Sometimes they are so secret that they can only be found by inspecting the ROM of the game itself....

World renown video game creator and Metal Gear Solid 5 director Hideo Kojima reveals the name of his new studio’s mascot to fans of the company online. As many gaming fans are probably aware at this point in time, once Hideo Kojima made his departure from Konami official, the game designer and director went on to forge a brand new studio founded in his namesake. In doing so, Kojima made the decision to move forward with a completely different logo for his company from the original one that referenced the FOX Unit in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, as it has now become a human skull ensconced within what appears to be a mechanical knight’s helmet....
