Since George Lucas himself has admitted that romantic dialogue is one of his weaknesses, the Star Wars saga has always suffered in the love department. From toxic relationships to incest, Star Wars love stories have never been one of the movies’ greatest strengths. But everyone’s favorite galaxy far, far away does have one love story that rings true, still holds up today (more or less), and feels right at home in Lucas’ pulpy universe: Han Solo and Leia Organa....

Last night, the Epix suspense horror series From starring Harold Perrineau (of Lost, The Matrix Reloaded, Constantine, and much more) ended its first season with multiple cliffhangers that separated the main characters, and opened up a whole lot of questions about a town cut off from the rest of the world and surrounded by nocturnal vampire-esque creatures. Titled “Oh, the Places We’ll Go,” the tenth episode was reminiscent of a Lost-style finale that expands the web of intrigue (somewhat literally considering those massive spider webs that look like something woven by Tolkien’s Shelob)....

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery fans are anxious to see if tomorrow will bring with it Year 5 Chapter 2, but in the meantime, developer Jam City has given them yet another in-game event to complete. This event has no name, but completing it will net players some rewards, including a new mohawk cosmetic to customize their character with. Unlocking the mohawk cosmetic in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is done the same way players have completed the other events in the game....

A day earlier than expected, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has launched for mobile devices on iOS and Android. The follow-up to Niantic’s hugely successful Pokemon GO is poised to make a massive splash over the next months (if not longer) but like POGO, there is a lot for players to take in and uncover. One element of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite that players might be curious about is the Portkey, an item in HP lore that wizards use to instantly transport from one place to another....

Haven, the co-op role-playing-game from The Game Bakers, was one of the surprise RPGs of 2020. As a late release in the year, some players may not have yet been able to play it yet. It also has not been made available on all platforms yet. That is about to change, as Haven is set to release on the Switch, PS4, and the Epic Game Store very soon. Haven released as a relatively well-reviewed game on December 3, 2020, for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC....

After originally launching for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC via Steam, romantic adventure Haven is now on its way to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and the Epic Games Store. Designed with co-op in mind (although you can play solo, too), Haven blends turn-based RPG mechanics with an engaging dialogue system that determines the relationship between young couple Yu and Kay. They’re trapped on a deserted planet after crash landing their ship, so it’s up to you to find materials to cook delicious meals and craft precious items in order to keep them alive....

There’s no doubt that Hitman deserves a spot in any list of the best stealth games ever made. The series deserves more credit for bringing up opportunities for players to finish off targets in very creative ways. While it’s always fun to go on a rampage, there’s greater satisfaction in landing the coveted kill by unique and subversive means. Given that these are usually hidden in-game for players to figure out themselves, it means that a lot of these might never have been found, even by dedicated gamers....

Hitman 3 challenges players with different ways of completing its missions, aiding in its replay value. These challenges include different ways to assassinate a target, disguising Agent 47 as key characters, to exiting a mission by boat. In the On Top of the World mission in Dubai, players can attempt the Conserving Ammunition Challenge. Conserving Ammunition tasks Agent 47 with eliminating both targets with a single bullet using a sniper rifle....

One of the greatest action-adventure RPGs of all time, Horizon: Zero Dawn, turns four years old today. When Horizon: Zero Dawn first launched, it was the best-selling game during its release week in the UK, and it passed up No Man’s Sky as biggest intellectual property launched for the PS4. Borderlands 3 is full of memorable characters many of which have been with the series since its inception. While players have a strong attachment to characters like Lilith, and the four new Vault Hunters were well received, some of the other fresh additions have not been as well-received by fans. The Calypso Twins, for example, were widely garded as weaker villains than Handsome Jack. However, the lukewarm reception to this pair of antagonists could not compare to the fanbase’s reaction to Ava....

Despite Bruce Wayne’s enduring 80-year run as the Batman, he isn’t the only character who has donned the cape and cowl. Sometimes, the best offense is a good defense. And sometimes the best defense is MORE defense.
