Players who pre-ordered Halo 5: Guardians report that they are unable to play the new game, due to ’too early’ to play errors and slow download speeds. Halo 5: Guardians is easily one of the most highly anticipated games of the year and with critics mostly praising the game as well, it’s also one of the most well reviewed titles of 2015. But, unfortunately, many of those who have pre-ordered Master Chief’s newest adventure have now been let down, as their pre-order downloads of Halo 5 have been hit with a series of issues....

Unfortunately, the Xbox Series X took a hard blow this month with the delay of its flagship launch title into 2021. Halo Infinite was basically going to be that key “system-seller” game for the launch of Microsoft’s new console. Now with that no longer being the case, the Xbox Series X is relying on its services and few third-party titles to bolster the console’s launch. It’s not the end of the world for the Series X, as Halo Infinite will likely release pretty early next year if it was on track for a holiday release, but it’s unclear how the delay affects the Xbox One version....

HBO Go, the Home Box Office Channel’s answer to ‘On Demand’ content, is coming to Xbox Live on April 1st. Back when the next update for Xbox Live was being demoed for subscribers, one of the key features Microsoft was touting was there support for streaming services like HBO Go, the BBC, and Sky, and now that’s all coming to fruition some 5 months later. Gamers were made aware that the services wouldn’t be hitting the console alongside the update, which is probably a good thing considering all the problems it was causing, but now we’re a bit closer to realizing that vision....

Hitman 3 owners will get free access to one of the series’ most iconic maps for a week. The Sapienza map is available till July 4. Owners of the Hitman 3 Starter Pack will also be able to gain access to the seaside map. The Sapienza map came with the original release of Hitman in 2016. It is a beautiful sea facing town with a number of sections. You can weave through residential areas, sneak into the target’s gigantic estate, dump bodies into the water by the shore, and gain access to secret underground tunnels....

Based on the brilliant but deliberately mysterious novel by Iain Reid, adapted and directed by Charlie Kaufman who is known for his complex meta-textual scripts including Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and Adaptation, Netflix’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things is a perfect storm of philosophy, ambiguity and wankery. Not quite as dense as Kaufman’s Synecdoche, New York but definitely very much on the arthouse end of the spectrum for Netflix, a great sense of tension, unsettling visuals and terrific performances from its leads keep I’m Thinking Of Ending Things on the right side of weird....

I’ll be honest, I’m cautiously optimistic about the Diablo 2 remake. Very cautious, since we all remember how the Warcraft III remake turned out, but what we saw at last weekend’s BlizzConline looked quite promising. Essentially, Diablo 2: Resurrected looks a lot like the old game remade in the Diablo 3 engine. Interviews with various folks at Blizzard have confirmed that a lot of Diablo 2: Resurrected is running on the original code, but the 3D models and animations that are running on top of it are all brand new....

Ultra-violent superhero stories are anything but uncommon these days. But back in 2003, when Robert Kirkman’s Invincible debuted on comic shelves, it was unique in its juxtaposition of startlingly vivid violence and gore with colorful, Saturday morning cartoon imagery. And the violence wasn’t for show—unlike most popular superhero stories, characters in Invincible die all the time, and for the most part, they stay dead. The blood and guts splattered across the panels were a constant reminder that this superhero story had real stakes....

Bad news Animal Crossing fans - everyone’s favorite meme-worthy furniture piece, the froggy chair, isn’t available in New Horizons. News that this furniture piece would be absent from New Horizons surfaced earlier this week when data miners who had access to early copies of the game noticed a lack of a chair resembling an amphibian in the game files. One Twitter user @OatmealDome tweeted this past Tuesday about the lack of the froggy chair after doing a dive through the files of the available furniture in the then soon-to-be-released game....

After footage of a Harry Potter RPG leaked back in 2018, the community has been progressively theorizing what features may be present if the game is every confirmed and released.
