Ubisoft has revealed that those who purchase a copy of Immortals Fenyx Rising on both PS4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade to next-gen versions of the game at no additional cost. Part of the many announcements in the second Ubisoft Forward earlier this week, the Immortals Fenyx Rising upgrade path to next-gen consoles will work like Ubisoft’s other cross-gen games, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion....
Sony has been in the firing line this week as the company reportedly ‘refused’ to allow Minecraft cross-platform play. A Minecraft cross-platform update was announced at E3 2017 and would allow players on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and more to play together, but no PlayStation consoles will be part of the fun. Although Sony stated that it was about safe-guarding younger Minecraft players, comments by Jonas Märtensson, the CEO of Minecraft developer Mojang, seem to contradict that....

A major milestone is coming up for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Season 5 be the first to begin in Halo: The Master Chief Collection since all of the collection’s games were released on PC. Season 4 began on November 16, focusing on Halo 4 content, and after that Halo: Reach launched on November 17 for PC. Season 5 of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection starting January 27 will be a celebration of the full launch of the Halo series across PC and Xbox, and it has content to support the occasion....

The story focuses back in on Doctor Halsey, Master Chief, and TV show exclusive character Makee this week, trying to say something about the value of human life, the importance of our connection to each other, and how people should not be implanted with technology to make them better weapons. In doing so it further removes some of the pulpy specificity that made the world of the games work....

From the very first book in the Harry Potter series, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has haunted the footsteps of Harry and his friends. We first met Voldemort as a head attached to the back of Professor Quirrell’s skull, but by the fourth book (or movie, if you haven’t read the books), we got to see the Dark Lord’s full and true body. Respawn paid close attention to player feedback during last weekend’s Titanfall 2 test and they are claiming to have significant changes in time for the next test. Titanfall 2 ran its first pre-alpha test this past weekend and the response was somewhat less than glowing from players, many of whom complained about the map design, changes to the Titans and their spawning system, and slower pilot movement. Though Respawn Entertainment said that it was primarily using last weekend’s test to evaluate their servers and new matchmaking system, it seems that the studio took many of these complaints to heart....

The hour begins right where last week’s thrilling penultimate chase left us hanging: Carrie and Simone Martin have changed places with some not very convincing wigs—but hey Yevgeny was pretty far away when he saw Carrie from a distance—and their fates were thus immediately sealed. As the decoy, Carrie was doomed never to make it out of Russia, at least not on Saul Berenson’s plane. At the Bethesda E3 2018 press conference yesterday, the company surprised everyone by officially announcing The Elder Scrolls 6. A teaser trailer offered a sweeping view of what appears to be the new location of the game, including a look at the ocean and a glimpse of a dilapidated castle. Remnant: From The Ashes has a lot of bosses, about 40 with both the DLCs. There are a wide variety of Dungeon Bosses, World Bosses, and Mini-Bosses you can counter in each Realm. Unfortunately, Cessnya, The Iskal Queen of Corsus, was only an NPC Merchant in the base game. Instead of her being the World Boss for Corsus like the Undying King was for Rhom, you had to deal with Ixillis XV and Ixillis XVI instead....
