A new Kirby game looks to be in the planning stages, and according to developer HAL Laboratory it will apparently take the pink puffball to “the next stage”. As reported by Nintendo Everything, the information comes from a new interview with game director Shinya Kumazaki that can be found in the recently released Kirby Star Allies art book. Towards the end of the book Kumazaki talks about some of Star Allies’ development, before talking about the future of the Kirby series....

Halo Infinite has lost its second creative director, as Microsoft’s flagship video game franchise continues to experience development trouble. Now-Former Director Chris Lee has confirmed that, as of today, he is no longer working on Halo Infinite. Lee oversaw the production of the title at 343 Industries, the studio developing Infinite. This marks the second top director to leave the project over the past two years. The highly anticipated Halo installment was originally going to release in just a few weeks, as it was set to be a launch title release along with the next-generation Xbox Series X next month....

During an appearance on Animal Talking (an Animal Crossing talk show that airs on Twitch) Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that he and members of Halo Infinite developer 343 Studios briefly discussed releasing the game in separate parts. According to Spencer, the idea was to split Halo Infinite into separate releases that would be shipped out on different dates over a longer period of time. Spencer doesn’t dive into the specifics, but it sounds like the idea was to release the first part of the game by the end of the year as previously planned....

Square Enix showed off a bit of next-gen footage for Marvel’s Avengers today, which included an extended look at Hawkeye in action. Much of his moveset revolves around ranged skills and special abilities, however, he’s not completely useless at close range – thanks to a few powerful melee attacks. The footage made its debut during the Square Enix Presents Spring 2021 event, where a host of new Avengers content was announced....

Easily one of the most anticipated titles of 2012, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron comes on the heels of a mixed pair of prior Transformers titles from High Moon Studios. IO Interactive has revealed a roadmap for the first Hitman 3 content update. The game will see new content released every week throughout February, including Featured Contracts and Deluxe Escalations. Hitman 3 wrapped up the rebooted trilogy, but Agent 47’s work is far from over. If you purchased the Deluxe Edition, there are two Deluxe Escalations coming your way later this month. The Proloff Parable sees you cutting through foes with a deadly katana, while The Gauchito Antiquity tasks you with poisoning a troublesome guru....

Frictional Games, the studio behind last year’s well-received horror title SOMA, reveals that the game is finally profitable after selling nearly half a million units. Every year, there are many underappreciated games that slip by the radar for many gamers. Unfortunately, that was the fate of SOMA, the 2015 horror game from the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. SEGA’s over the top “mutant” shooter House of the Dead is once again making its way to the PS3, with two of the franchise’s classic titles House of the Dead 3 and House of the Dead 4 set to release later this year. Both House of the Dead titles will be receiving the next-gen treatment, which means HD graphics, PlayStation Move Support and Trophies! SEGA has not said if there will be online play, a feature that we at Game Rant thought could have been a great addition in 2011’s PS3 release of House of the Dead: Overkill....
