Instead of three-person squads, Infinity Ward has replaced them with four-person squads (or quads), and people are not happy about it. A LinkedIn post has revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy had a multiplayer mode earlier in its development. This was spotted by ResetEra user Nightengale, who looked at Simon Larouche’s LinkedIn profile and found information on the game’s early development. Simon’s profile lists that he was the “Online Gameplay Director” on the project between 2017 and 2018. The post confirms that the multiplayer mode was cancelled, and it seems to have been done at the start of 2018....

With the release of Halo 4 on The Master Chief Collection coming soon, 343 Industries released some outstanding PC screenshots of the game’s campaign on October 30. While the images were scaled down for publishing purposes, 343 Industries said the game is “beautiful” when it runs in 4K and 60FPS. Halo 4 is the sixth and final game to be brought to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which has been developed by 343 Industries and was published by Xbox Game Studios....

Even though Halo started as a fairly straightforward story, over the years the franchise quickly has become steeped in a deep mythos that contains lore, history, and many side stories. The games have had varying levels of accessibility for fans depending on players’ knowledge of not just past games, but novels, short stories, comics, web series, and more.
